Housing Adaptation Grant Applications in Limerick
In Limerick, applications are handled by Limerick City and County Council. The council may request documentation such as proof of income, medical information, quotations and any reports required for the proposed works.
The grant is means-tested. Since 1 December 2024, the maximum grant is up to €40,000, or up to 100% of the approved cost where household income is under €37,500, reducing on a sliding scale and not available where income is over €75,000. Homes less than 12 months old are capped at €20,000. Approval should be confirmed before works begin — starting works too early may affect eligibility, so homeowners should check the correct process before committing to a project.
